LINDSAY SIMS | FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
With over 20 years of experience in Atlanta’s hospitality industry, Lindsay and TOAST have become synonymous with elevated southern weddings.
Since founding TOAST in 2008, TOAST’s reputation for elegant design, flawless execution, and impeccable service has earned her a place among the top wedding planners in the South, the United States, and the World, as named by Southern Living, Martha Stewart Weddings and VOGUE Magazine, respectively. Lindsay serves on the Catering Advisory Group for Lowes Hotels and is a past president of Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA).
This award-winning Toastess with the Mostess specializes in re-imagining Southern traditions into classic, contemporary celebrations, and believes you should have a ball along the way. For her, the best part of a wedding day is the big reveal, seeing the culmination of the planning journey and the absolute delight on her clients’ faces. Lindsay is most proud of the dynamic team she has built and thanks her lucky stars for team TOAST!
In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys celebrating everyday life with her husband, stepchildren, and beloved dog Ellie. Whether it’s a Saturday afternoon cheering on the FSU Seminoles or planning her annual St Patrick’s Day feté, Lindsay loves to raise a glass of bubbly and make it special.
KERRI STEGHERR | VP Planning & Design
Before joining TOAST in 2014, Kerri enjoyed working for over a decade in Atlanta’s luxury hospitality and event design planning businesses, including the Four Seasons, Robert Long Flora, and the InterContinental Buckhead, where she served as the Social Catering Manager. Kerri has designed, planned, and coordinated countless luxury events, from gala dinners to celebrity weddings. For Kerri, the greatest reward in planning events is getting to know her clients and their families, and creating a unique event that tells the story of who they are, where they’ve been and where they are going. Her unparalleled experience, natural southern charm, and attention to detail make her an invaluable addition to the TOAST team.
When not planning someone’s very special day, Kerri toasts to life cooking with her family (aka her cheerleaders), Auburn football, and any time spent at the beach.
CATE SOTAK | LEAD PLANNER
On the TOAST team since day one, Cate has over a decade of experience, including some of TOAST’s biggest and most memorable events. Prior to joining forces with Lindsay, Cate spent ten years honing her hospitality skills with The Four Seasons after graduating from the University of Georgia. A natural-born planner and problem solver, Cate consistently delights her clients by going the extra mile to make sure every client is able to be a guest at and enjoy their own party.
When Cate isn’t TOAST-ing, she is spending time her family, diving into a great new book, or hitting the beach!
maren white | lead planner
Maren Clarke White joined Toast in 2021 with over a dozen years of experience planning and executing events at some of the world’s most luxurious resorts and hotels, including Sea Island and The Greenbrier. She has created, developed and led Wedding and Catering departments at high end properties around the country and has planned events for celebrities, athletes, and corporate CEOs. She has executed small and intimate weddings, as well as weddings with over one thousand guests. She brings a commitment to excellence, an attention to detail, and a passion for providing the utmost in client services to each of her events. She has garnered rave reviews in her time at TOAST and continues to WOW her clients!
Maren enjoys the warm relationships she builds with her clients and is proud to include numerous past brides as some of her closest friends. When not working, you may find Maren enjoying time with her family, taking long walks with her dog Charlotte Grace, or reading books.
